Analysis of the hazard zone

Analysis of the hazard zone according to IEC/TR 62471

We analyse the hazard zone according to part 2 of the IEC/TR 62471. As a result, the distance-related maximum exposure duration is obtained.

This is important for sources that are in a higher risk group according to the classification particularly when tested at a distance of 20 cm but they will be below the exposure limit in the realistic exposure distance of for example 100 cm, so that there is no risk whatsoever for the user.

Thereby we assist the manufacturers in complying with their legal requirements to sufficiently inform the end-user about the risks of the emitted optical radiation.
